"This is Kevin's first foray into making a real, whole movie with all of
its components; it is his effects-laden, verbal trampoline blockbuster
in a way" - Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck stars as Bartleby, a fallen angel looking for a way home. Affleck reunites with director Kevin Smith, having received critical acclaim for his roles in Smith's "Chasing Amy" and "Mallrats."
Both an accomplished actor and screenwriter, Affleck is one of Hollywood's youngest ever to win the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. He received the Academy Award for "Good Will Hunting," which he co-wrote with friend and fellow actor Matt
Damon, also starring in the hit film.
Affleck's other recent roles range from the Oscar-winning "Shakespeare In Love"; to the romantic comedy "Forces of Nature" with Sandra Bullock; to the blockbuster action film "Armageddon" opposite Bruce Willis and Liv Tyler; to the edgy ensemble piece
"200 Cigarettes." He received critical notice in Mark Pellington's adaptation of Dan Wakefield's best-selling coming-of-age novel "Going All The Way" and has appeared in the Dean Koontz thriller "Phantoms," Richard Linklater's cult hit "Dazed and
Confused," the controversial "School Ties" and "Glory Days." He will next be seen in the coming-of-age comedy "Balling the Jack" based on Frank Baldwin's novel and is currently shooting Dimension Film's "Reindeer Games" co-starring Gary Sinise and Charlize Theron
and directed by the legendary John Frankenheimer.
On television, Affleck starred in the NBC series "Against The Grain," as well as several television movies including HBO's "A Body To Die For," PBS' "Voyage of the Mimi" and two network films: "Almost Home" and "Daddy."
